This is a Swedish blog and we are of course proud of almost all Swedish products. Many of you may know that Volvo and SAAB both are Swedish brands from the beginning, but what many doesn’t know is that one of the World’s fastest cars actually is a Swedish one – the Koenigsegg. A supercar with 806 horsepowers that goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and had the world speed record with 388 km/h until the Bugatti Veyron stole the record.

The Koenigsegg project was started in 1994. With a long tradition of building high quality cars and a large number of suppliers to the racing car industry, Sweden offered a suitable breeding ground for the development of a world-class supercar.

It took 3 years of development and prototyping before The Koenigsegg CC was shown at Cannes film festival, and it took another 3 years before the first production car was assembled.

The latest iteration of the Koenigsegg model, the CCR, will cost you a $600 000, so it’s really expensive. But then you will be a proud owner of one of the world’s coolest cars. A true swedish product!
