Ford Shelby GT500 2008
By mikael Tuesday October 16, 2007
One of my favorite American cars for the last few years is the Ford Shelby GT500. The Garage Blog had the opportunity to take a Ford Shelby GT500 2008 edition to the tracks – and what a day they had! Too bad they didn’t have any videos to post, but it’s worth a read.
The final section in the car had to have been the highlight of the day. 135 mph on the bank of Pocono Raceway, 6 feet off the back bumper of the Viper GTS, watching the white 911 about 20 feet off my stern.

Ford expected the new Ford Shelby GT 500 to have 480 horsepowers, but today Ford announced that the new Shelby got an official rating of 500 hp.
“With 500 hp and the Shelby name, this car is an instant legend,” said Hau Thai-Tang, director, Advanced Product Creation & SVT programs. “This is the most powerful, most capable Mustang ever.”

By mikael Sunday April 23, 2006
Ford has a strong focus (hehe, no pun intended) on developing cars that run on alternative fuels. Yesterday President Bush visited Ford’s California fuel cell partnership facility to check out on the progress.

Someone has managed to snap a photo of the freshened version of the Ford Escape – expected to be launched in the spring of 2007.
“Due next spring, the new Escape may be marketed as an early 2008 model, along with a freshened version of its companion, the Mercury Mariner. Ford is upgrading the cabin with better-quality materials and more features”

The first pictures of the Ford Iosis started to appear in August last year, but since it’s a beautiful car and I captured a few shots of it at the Stockholm Auto Show – here you go.
